WISE Award

Created in 1997, the W.I.S.E. Award is given to a WISE member who makes outstanding contributions to the club, and to the community as a whole.

Award Value: $300.00

Conditions:

  • Offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student in any faculty who has completed at least one year.
  • Must have been a member of W.I.S.E. during the year of award application. Members of the W.I.S.E. Steering Committee are not eligible.
  • Must be registered full time but need not be carrying a full course load.
  • Award will be based on academic merit.
  • The award will be based on academic merit and contribution made to W.I.S.E.

Applications open June 1, 2011. You can apply online through your Student Centre, using the Continuing Undergraduate Awards Application. Deadline to apply is August 1, 2011. 14 Women's Memorial Award

Award Value: up to $4500

Conditions:

  • Offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student in any faculty.
  • Academic merit
  • Financial need
  • Demonstrated commitment to women's issues through activities on behalf of and for the advancement of women's equality
  • Registered full time but need not be carrying a full course load

Bettina Fournier Award

Conditions:

  • Offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student in any faculty
  • Best essay or submission in another medium such as dance, poetry, video in a Women's Studies course

Judith Sloman Memorial Scholarships in Women's Studies

  • Offered annually to continuing undergraduate students enrolled in any faculty. Need not be registered full time
  • Academic merit in three half courses in Women's Studies taken over the last two consecutive sessions.
  • For applicable courses in Women's Studies, see Groups 1 and 2 under the Women's Studies Minor Program listed in the University of Calgary Calendar.

Students' Union Women in the Nineties Bursary
