I am currently in my third year of the Biological Sciences program in the Faculty of Science.
Coming from a faculty that has previously been dominated by men, I admired the club’s mandate in regards to the advancement of women in their chosen programs in either the Faculty of Science or Engineering. I truly believe that women have a lot to offer to both of these fields and being involved in a club that supports women in this endeavour was important to me. In addition, I have personally benefitted academically from the services that WISE provides and I wanted to contribute my time to help with the continued success of other undergraduate students.
I have always had a passion for medicine and I enjoy helping other people. Therefore, upon completion of my undergraduate degree, my current goal is to pursue either a career in family medicine or pediatrics.
I enjoy reading, listening to music, watching movies, baking, playing the piano, and jogging.
Fun Fact: My favourite food is sushi!!

I am a second year Chemical Engineering student at the University of Calgary.
As of now, only 11 % women are in Science and Engineering fields in the USA. WISE is one of the groups that help encourage women like me to pursue a career in Engineering and Science fields. I know how it feels to be in a class of 50 men with just 5 girls, so if we all join hands together (men n women) we can raise these numbers. It is said, a single drop of water helps to swell the ocean and WISE is a way for me to be that one-drop. Drop by our office whenever you feel like and we will try to help academically and personally to ensure you have a great time at University.

I’m a second year Electrical Engineering student at the University of Calgary.
According to Kaitlin Sherwood “Being a woman in science and engineering industry is different from being a man in the same industry. Not better, not worse, but different”. WISE is a great opportunity to be that “Difference” in society and to encourage and support women like me, to engage in the fields of science and engineering. Also WISE has being able to assist me personally from the services rendered and therefore I would like to contribute my time to help others to experience their time in university with satisfaction.

I am a 2nd Year Software Engineering Student at the University of Calgary, and a Schulich Scholar. I will be serving as both Engineering Representative as well as Membership Commissioner for WISE this year. I want to make a difference for Women in Engineering by not only lifting our famous WISE ENGG tutorials to their former glory, but by also introducing and implementing new ideas that may help in making women in engineering more comfortable within the engineering community.
I encourage you to come out to our ENGG tutorials, as well as the other super awesome events that WISE will be holding this year. Feel free to get in touch with me about any questions, concerns, ideas, and suggestions you may have. Your feedback means a great deal to me."

I am a fourth year student working towards a BComm in MGIS with a Minor in Computer Science.
As one of very few women in the computer science program, I
began to recognize the importance of groups like WISE and began
volunteering with groups like WISE and WAO. This past summer when an executive position opened up, I couldn't wait to apply!
After graduating, I'd like to take a year or two to work and then possibly apply to law school.
Outside of the academic world, I am the associate producer for NUTV and really enjoy doing camera work and editing.
