Associate Professor

Shibao Guo (郭世宝) is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Calgary. His research interests include citizenship and immigration, Chinese immigrants in Canada, ethnic relations, social justice and equity in education, multicultural and anti-racist education, adult education and community development, and comparative and international education. Over the years he has developed research expertise in the areas of transnational migration, work, lifelong learning, and knowledge mobility and recognition. Dr. Guo is past president of the Canadian Association for the Study of Adult Education (2009-2011) and a former Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal for the Study of Adult Education (2008-2011). Currently he serves as president of the Canadian Ethnic Studies Association and is Co-Editor of Canadian Ethnic Studies.
