My lab focuses on skeletal variation in the limb bones, more specifically on its genetic and developmental origins, and how the patterns and magnitudes of skeletal variation may in turn impact the ability of limb bones to evolve in response to selection. Current research interests are focused around three themes:
1. Evolutionary: How is skeletal variation in limbs structured, and how does this affect their ability to evolve? Read more
2. Developmental: What are the developmental determinants of phenotypic variation in limb bone morphology? Read more
3. Functional: How does skeletal variation translate into variation in performance during normal functions (e.g. locomotion)? Read more
