So it's the winter semester and back to the cold, but thankfully the days are getting longer and longer.
Winter Clubs Week Jan 16 - 20, 2012
So this week we're going to be at clubs week, we're there on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you stop by, we might even have something special for our members.
Movie Night TBA
We're hopefully going to be holding some sort of movie night for you guys, we'll set out a date and time and movie soon. We'll announce on Blackboard when we're going to hold it.
February Forum Nights
For those that are in their third year and up, it's going to be on Feb 1 at 6 pm. For those that are first and second years, it's going to be on Feb 2, also at 6 pm. We will let you know the location as soon as we get a confirmed room. Tell us what's up and what's bunk in your program! We want your feedback on how the department can support you through your undergrad!
Darwin Dinner - Friday Feb 10, 2012
Time: 4pm is when the seminar starts, dinner follows.
Location: EDC 179 (Seminar) Mac Hall A (Dinner) - across from the jugo juice.
Cost: $35 (before club sponsorship)
Where they can buy: BSA office SA 117, or at our clubs booth (this week only)
Speaker: Dr. Dan Dennett
Come and celebrate Darwins birthday with undergrads, grads and faculty members! This year we will be hosting Dr. Dan Dennett who will talk about the "Evolution of Reasons". The talk will be followed by a semi-formal dinner in Macewan Hall.
Choose your major night - TBA
Tonight will be the night for those that are undecided on their major or those who want to find out before making their decision. We will have profs there and some students who are in the programs to tell you all about it.
Bring donations for a hearty breakfast for your last day of lectures! All proceeds go to the Alberta Cancer Foundation through the Pedal Pushing Pirates team for their Ride to Conquer Cancer!
